He is known for his strict musical time keeping and "The Purdie Shuffle".

WORKSHOP: Djembe with Babara Bangoura

Once off opportunity to partake in a workshop with internationally acclaimed African musician Babara Bangoura
Born in Conakry but originating from Kankan Guinea. Babara worked at the Percussions de Guinée Juniors also called the Boca Juniors in the municipality of Matan and later on he joined the national ballet Djoliba. In 1999 he arrived in europe.
WORKSHOP: Flamenco Rhythms with Lucas González

Lucas González will teach flamenco rhythms (compás) on cajon and clapping (palmas) and the interplay between dancers and guitarists. Lucas performs regularly with bailaor Felipe de Algeciras in Ireland and plays guitar and cajón for Flamenco dance workshops with internationally acclaimed artists including Concha Jareño, Maria la Serrana, Felipe de Algeciras and Cristina Hall.
WORKSHOP: Push Pash with David Day

Learn the Ghanaian percussion instrument (gourds filled with seeds) Push Pash with David Day. Participants get to keep the instruments! Push Pash is a simple Ghanese instrument consisting of two small gourds filled with beans (essentially, two small kinds of maracas) and connected by a string. One gourd is held in the hand and the other is swung from side-to-side around the hand, creating a "clack" upon impact.
WORKSHOP: The Edge of Chaos with Eddie O’Neill

An interactive workshop exploring the health benefits of group drumming and rhythm based activities. Presented by Eddie O’Neill who is a trained Remo Health Rhythms facilitator and holds a diploma in Therapeutic Drumming.
The idea of the workshop is to introduce the non drummer to ways of using drumming/rhythm to address Health and Wellness.

Frame drum guru Andrea Piccioni is an internationally acclaimed virtuoso of the tammorra, riqq, daf, cajon and the bodhran too. For this workshop he focuses on Darbuka and Frame Drums exploring some of the most popular Arabic Rhythms, such as saiidi, baladi and masmoudi.
